Day nine of the U18 Australian Women's Championship was undisturbed by the gale force winds that have hit Melbourne and NSW and ACT have recorded strong victories.

In the opening match the ACT girls easily defeated NT with a solid 5-0 win. It seemed that NSW tried to go one better but came up short in their 4-0 win  against WA.

Day eight of the 2008 U18 Australian Women’s Championship produced another major upset as the determined ACT girls defeated WA 2-0. It was an excellent result for ACT which now sees them with a clear chance of finals action.

The Wrest Point Van Demons took it up to the SmokeFree WA Diamonds but the home team walked away eventual winners in round 6 of the AHL.
