The HOCKEY TASMANIA INTRASTATE SERIES was played at St Leonards Hockey Centre, Launceston last weekend. Despite the inclement weather some excellent hockey was played over the three days of competition, showcasing the range of talent within our state's junior ranks. Regional veteran men's teams also competed for the Examiner Cup, this event fitting well with the junior tournament to highlight the fact that hockey in Tasmania is a strong family sport.

The Australian Veteran Women’s National Championships are scheduled to be held in Hobart from 2nd – 10th October 2009.

The Hockey Tasmania Annual Intrastate Tournament, traditionally held each year on the Queen's Birthday long weekend, will return to Launceston this weekend. It was held in Hobart last year in celebration of the near completion of the new facilties at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre.
