Major hockey facilities are located around Tasmania at the centres of Hockey Tasmania's various affiliated regional associations. The Tasmanian Hockey Centre, the home of Hockey Tasmania, is the major facility in the south of the state.

The world class Tasmanian Hockey Centre is located at:

The centre's three world class surfaces are situated approximately 10 minutes travel time from the city centre. The THC contains two Balsam Pacific water based SLX synthetic playing surfaces, both of which were installed prior to the successful 7th Junior Men's World Hockey Cup. Included here are two photos of the Tasmanian Hockey Centre (click on the images on the left to view larger versions) taken during the 7th FIH Junior Men's World Hockey Cup, which Hockey Tasmania hosted in 2001.

The new Function Centre at the THC is up and running with a state of the art audio visual set up and plenty of free parking. The Olympians' Room can comfortably hold 150 people for a sit down meal and many more for a cocktail style event. It's the perfect place for your party, conference or business launch.
